Dear Mojang and other users,
A few ideas here on the feedback site have already expressed their improvements on the skulk sensor, but I want to put in my 2 cents, specifically regarding directional Skulk Sensors.
Since I have been informed that the skulk sensor is a living creature within Minecraft and not just a wireless redstone device, a menu for the skulk sensor would not fit here. My idea instead is in order to have a skulk sensor be directed to only one sound (basically just the skulk sensor only reacting to one or more noises, coloured wool can be placed around the sensor - the colored wool corresponding to a noise or input that the skulk sensor either will detect or not detect (haven't figured out which way I want it to work yet). When you place that specific colour of wool around the skulk sensor, the sensor will not detect that noise. For example: placing red wool around the skulk sensor means that the skulk sensor will only detect... say a player walking and not mobs walking, so no creepers or zombies can get inside your house by accident.
White wool doe not have that function and just works as seen at Minecon Live.
If you can understand that mess of an idea, I will be amazed honestly XD
I also don't know just yet if placing the colored wool should mean it will only detect that noise specifically and no others or not detect that noise at all. It still works either way, but if you have ideas for which way it should work, please let me know :)
