Groundlings are mole-people that would pop out of the ground and drag you underground to suffocate you. You could tell that a Groundling was in a block by looking down on it and seeing brown pixels popping out of the block, to remove a Groundling you would have to simply remove the block that the Groundling was in. Groundling can spawn outside of a block but only in caves, the can take damage from sunlight.
