Glow Ink for Glowing Dye

This could make glow squids drop glow dye. Glow dye could be used on leather armor to emit a small amount of light around the player. This would allow the player to see nearby around them, but continue to let mobs spawn. This would be useful in caves and dark areas.

    Glow Ink could be used on other things besides armor such as wool and other dyable blocks and items. At the very least, I think it should give the block/item a glowing texture, but it could also emit some light, although I would make it very low.

    You should be able to dye it again and then you could have different coloured lights

    Please let us have glow dye to dye ANYTHING that can be dyed. And allow glow dye to be combined with other dyes. My child wants a blow in pink sheep! A glowing bed... Glow cement... The possibilities are so much fun...

    Yea, but the armour couldn’t emit light because it’s on an entity so it would just work like the glow squid - you can see it in the dark but it doesn’t light surroundings

    I think it should stay entity based to go along with what Minecraft already has set up, but having glowing armor would be a very good way to coordinate with each other in underground or otherwise dark environments.
    Imagine a group of friends exploring a cave. Of course, they use torches to light the area up but being able to see each other in the dark by using the weakest armor in the game adds an extra layer of depth to how players can interact with each other.

    And make it so it can be put on Pets, like the cat's and dog's collars, or horse armor, to make it easier to find your pets in the dark.
