Minecraft adds a new community-voted mob at every update for the past few years. However, this most recent mob vote lacked a mob that was creative and got the community excited. I propose a new mob idea for Minecraft that would add depth, immersiveness, and mystery to the Minecraft world: the Forest Tangle.
My idea for the Tangle is just a small, faceless, sentient ball of vines, twigs, and leaves. I envision them as somewhat round mobs slowly wandering on the underside of tree canopies, using vines almost as limbs to climb and move. Though passive initially, these mobs might become hostile to players that harm the environment too much, or maybe just chop at a Tangle's home tree. I would love to have a forest-dwelling mysterious creature that doesn't quite resemble any animal that I've ever seen, and one that would defend its home and nature.
As a potential added feature, similar to zombie variants, Tangles could have different variants depending on the biome. Maybe even a tumbleweed variant for deserts! They could have slightly different behaviors or abilities. Maybe they could even have an ability opposite to slimes and magma cubes, where they can JOIN together with another Tangle of their class, slowly growing larger and stronger. Imagine a nearby forest that slowly becomes the home of a behemoth Tangle.
In conclusion, I think that a mysterious woodland creature such as the Tangle could add a feeling of wonder and otherworldliness to an already-fantastic and fun game.
