This is actually a good idea. It shouldn’t just be Mobile, PC and some Console versions.

Definitely add this. I have a the official dedicated Bedrock Server software on my laptop. I cannot join it from my Switch though because there is no button to “Add a Server.” It doesn’t show it as a LAN game either.

It would be nice if one could switch between PC or Switch and play at same server. Now you can't continue your own dedicated server adventures with Switch.

There's probably some restriction with Nintendo's Developer TOS that forbids this from happening.

Allow switch users to join dedicated servers. After all they are Minecraft certified servers.

For anyone seeing this: set your Nintendo Switch internet settings to have DNS on manual, set DNS 1 to 104.238.130.180 and DNS 2 to 1.1.1.1, this will let you join servers other than the official ones.

    This needs to be done.
i wouldnt have purchased this game on switch had i known it would not allow my wife to connect to dedicated server hosted locally.
whatever the bullshit reason is, get passed it. im furious that i cant connect to a server being hosted on my own damn network with a game i purchased. 50%(at least) of what makes this game worth anything is being able to run our own private servers without hassle.

Absolutely I greee with it. There is a workaround to add a server to Nintendo switch by using a strange DNS server to show the internal server list. But it is extremely dangerous if the DNS server is poisoned. There should be a secure way to add any server for switch users.
