Maybe the armor could be water or fire proof like underwater breathing

They are not really much of a desert critter though. Maybe a Coyote could be better.(I've personally seen one with a lush coat  above death valley and many mangy ones in fort Irwin CA) maybe make donkeys able to occasionally spawn in deserts,( some were wandering about by fort Irwin too.)

I think the ideas great just Komodo dragons don’t live in desert areas. They live on a island called Komodo island which has lots of trees

no shooting venom just a poisoned bite because they do not shoot venom in real life they also should live on islands and should be hostile to villagers too I think it really should be added because they are endangered they are also one of my favorite animals please add this Minecraft

OK, they don't live in deserts, and meerkats and baobabs are going to be in savannas. Komodos should be found in a very rare, new variant of the jungle that mainly spawns as an island, since they live on small islands in Indonesia. Instead of shooting venom, they should act like they do in real life: bite the victim to give them venom and deadly bacteria, then jump back and wait for them to die. They should hunt any and all warm-blooded animals (except dolphins, humans, villagers, piglins, piglin brutes, striders, and all other Nether or End mobs), but only kill one every 5 minutes. They then take the meat from the dead animal. They should not drop useful things when killed, but instead you can maybe shear them for scales?
