When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Nice idea! Even without functionality, copper seems to make very nice material for those purposes.

I was experimenting with tinted glass, and I think it would be cool if copper doors could block light. That might be hard to implement, but it would be really cool.

Great idea, it would be interesting if the door oxidizes, I always wanted a green door

Copper pressure plates would make sense here, too, and there's arguably more redstone capabilities there. I would like to be able to use copper trapdoors and doors in my builds, though, even if they're just for decoration.

The functionality exactly as you described seems great.

Oxidized forms should exist and behave the same probably

I like this a lot. The only lockable doors are currently the iron ones, and they don't fit well with many building styles. Adding copper doors, will possibly also give us another 4 shades to play with.

Since the announcement of the caves and cliffs update, copper always looked like a building material, I would love to see a copper door

If it's not that at least they can be a variant of iron doors, we have many versions of regular doors but one version of doors controlled only by Redstone

If copper doors/trapdoors are implemented & aren’t just recolored iron doors, this functionality sounds great!

I would love to see copper doors and trapdoors – preferably with a steampunk aesthetic (basically a water-tight ship door with a bolted porthole and a wheel for sealing the door shut).

As for your suggested functionality, I'm unsure yet intrigued.

Copper could be viewed as an in game substitute for brass and bronze. So many things made of bronze and brass would make sense as copper in minecraft.  This includes doors, trapdoors, fences, chains

i am the 💯th voter (crafted with copper ingots and oxidises so it behaves like a normal door when it is at its last stage)
