The latest mob vote was a disaster. Mainly because it left a huge number of players disappointed in the results.
Here's what needs changed:
- Give us more information on the mobs we are voting for.
The lack of information on some of the mobs made a number of rumors spread like wildfire. Some people misinterpreted certain information while others created a rumor. Making a more informative blog post would help diminish the misinformation. (I love you person who writes the funny posts).
- Make us vote for which mob we want first.
Like the Biome Vote, we want all the presented mobs to eventually make their way to the game. Without this key feature, which kept the community together during the votes, chaos ensues as people regret a decision or feel sad that their favorite mob is gone forever.
- Make better guidelines for the vote.
The votes mean a lot to us players, thus we need it to be better regulated and not just a simple twitter poll. A twitter poll can easily be raided by users that do not represent the Minecraft Community. This is bad since the vote is supposed to be a representation of the player base. Better guidelines also mean more regulations towards the offering of rewards for voting a mob. (Bribery)
