In Minecraft's caves there are no reliable food sources to be found. Caving can be a hassle due to this, because it means that you have to go back and forth from your base and the cave to get more food. And, if you run out of food, the cave is the last place you want to be. I believe I have found a solution. In Mexico, there exists a species of fish called the blind cave fish. This fish is a species that slowly evolved to have no eyes, due to not getting any surface light in the caves they live in. I think these fish could make for a cool mob to find in the underwater ponds and lakes that will be coming in the caves and cliffs update. These strange fish would mind their own business, until any sounds are made near them. After being startled by the noise the fish will swim away, making them very hard to catch. These fish would be challenging to get, but would provide a way to obtain food underground, making caving much more accessible, especially with the cave overhaul. It would also provide something cool to fill these new caves with for players to find on expeditions.
