It's true. The vote section needs to be in Minecraft official site.

Or even make the voting in-game. Dream is a speedrunner and personally may have motive to have rigged the vote to prevent another MOB from being added so as to preserve current difficulty level. Can't prove it, but we shouldn't even have to wonder.

Agreed, mob vote should be something you would want to like to add into a game and not regret it later, as I am a iceologer voter, I would agree along with moobloom voters that this mob vote is rigged due to an effect of a YouTuber making his own " cult" .

I think it should be in the launcher, so only people who actually own the game can vote

Yes, it should be in the launcher/in-game, so only people who have the game can vote, and people who are not allowed on Twitter (because they're too young, and they prob make up like 50% of players) will have a chance to vote.

But actually though, yeah I really agree with this idea it would be so much better. I am an Iceologer voter.

Minecraft is played by children who maybe under 13 and Twitter doesn't allow them to create an account.
Plus, I wanna say reconsider voting but that would be too much to ask. Instead I ask for them to add both Iceologer and The Moobloom as well. For many aren't happy with the results. I mean they are not "Not happy " cause their mob lost but because they think that the  voting was not fair.

There should also be measures like anti-influencial measures to cut or ban people who are making voting unfair, like what dream did. Also, this should be for any vote, not just mobs.

Hayden Spence There will always be popular people in the Minecraft community who will tell people that they should vote for a certain option. Mumbo Jumbo told people to vote for the phantom in 2017, and it could be argued that that's how it won. Plus, how would we even be able to determine who the Dream stans are when they actually vote?

I do understand that Dream took it a step too far and told people he'd follow them on Twitter if they voted for Glow Squid, but I'm pretty sure his impact would be similar if he didn't do that in particular.

All I have to say is the voting was rigged and that you should either 1 add all instead or at least the iceloger cause He was also most voted or 2 add a devote its just a suggestion (and we all know nobody really wanted the glow squid) No hate tho

While I did vote for the glowsquid, I didn't do it under anyone's influence. But yeah I did see the whole thing with dream going on and I see why this feedback is important. Plus I actually wanted all three to be added, the only reason I went for the glowsquid is bcoz it was the most passive, and I like passive mobs. It's weird. But yeah I wanna request that from now on no more polls, add all three mobs that are planned. That way no one will feel salty and left out....

I second this! You should have to log into Minecraft's website with your Mojang account (if on java and not migrated) or MS account (if on java and migrated, if you purchased java after December 2020, or if you play Bedrock.) It would allow them to see if you have actually purchased the game, would prevent a certain slimy blob from rigging it, and would give new players a reason to visit the website. Social media like Twitter make it very easy for an influencer to well... influence!

they should put it in the launcher and ban dream's account from voting

I actually had some other Minecraft voting measures in mind when this came to my attention - Voting machine penalty:

If the next live event's vote gets manipulated via twitter stans or any similar circumstances, and the community's votes gets overwritten by a major youtuber, All the mobs in the vote will be added anyway, or at least the players can vote for a second mob, meaning, for example, if the glow squid won, the Iceologer or the moobloom would also get added, however this vote would actually take place on the minecraft website. If this vote gets manipulated anyway SOMEHOW, the youtuber in question will get their microsoft account locked and must pay a Penalty fine of 15$ in order to continue.

$15 seems a little low, especially considering who we are dealing with. I don't see why there can't be a permanent ban?

I do like the voting for a second mob idea, but that could take too long to add both, so maybe only the second mob gets added.

In 2021 Dream is planning to rig the vote this time out of spite. Voting should happen on minecraft launcher/app itself not on twitter of any places . It would be even better if the link is only available to those who purchased minecraft as the mob vote will only affect those who own the game

Simply casting your vote in-game through the news feed would be good. Only people who own the game and are playing should shape its future direction.

It's a good idea to change the voting from Twitter to the Minecraft website because many, including myself do not have Twitter, or any other social media platform. Or to reach EVERY player put the vote in the game itself. That's what should happen anyway. But how would you stop big time youtubers like Dream from saying stuff like "Vote for [mob] and I'll follow you on social media/join your server/whatever." because if you ban one of their accounts from voting, their fans will vote FOR him if he's already submitted the bribe. (If I get some of these facts wrong forgive me because I don't watch Dream) Mojang should put something up in the mob vote saying something like "Please do not be encouraged to vote for a mob because of a youtuber bribe" or something shorter/similar.

While I agree, I voted glow squid because I like squids and I thought they would hypnotize you...
