With the new Cave and Cliffs Update announced, we all want many new resources and mobs. One mob concept is the Clinger. Clingers are cave crabs that attach themselves to stalagmites, stalactites, and cave walls and would prefer to not be attacked by anyone or anything. The only exception is the spider. Clingers hate spiders and will descend from their footholds to attack and kill the arachnids, before returning to their section of wall. Clingers, while they hate spiders, are sociable and love taking care of baby Clingers. Sometimes baby Clingers will even attach themselves to the adults. Clingers are protected by a hard shell on their backs, so the only way you will be able to detach them from their wall is to either break the block they are attached to or attack their head. There is no real benefit to killing these creatures but mining the blocks they’re on or hitting them on the head will cause them, and other Clingers nearby, to attack the player. Clingers will either climb or fall to the player, keeping in mind that they don’t easily take fall damage. You can also breed Clingers with spider eyes.
