The eye stalk: the plant that stares at you (Cave Update Mob)

The eye stalk is a plant-like creature that spawns in caves. It would spawn in all y levels. It would be a passive mob that when close to it, would stare into your soul. When collected, it would drop some seeds and an edible eye.

The shape of the eye stalk would be a purplish blackish stem and a big eye.

Eye stalks can be grown with the seeds it drops. They do not like open air so you should plant them in shelter. They can be grown on all blocks but grow faster on tilled dirt blocks. They do not require water. The reason you should grow and farm these creatures is because their eye that is dropped when they are harvested give 4 to 5 hunger points.

The eye that is dropped from the eye stalk can be eaten cooked only. Eating the eye raw will give you poison and food poisoning. Cooked eyes give you 4 to 5 hunger points and a 3 second night vision boost.

Silk touching the eye stalk will drop the entire eye stalk.

    This would be a really cool mob to be seen! However, they should have a cave biome for them to spawn in.

    Personally, I would place the eye stalks in all caves because I would like the eye stalks to be a quick and easily obtainable food source for the player to come across. I do like the biome idea though. What kind of cave biome were you thinking of?

    I don't know what cave biome they would fit in but I bet they would fit in a very scary one.
