Tamed Animal ownership transferance

I would love it if we can transfer ownership of an animal that we tamed to another player, For instance I was wanting to build a pet adoption center and bring in various animals and breed them so my friends could adopt them and bring them to their homes. Or I have 6 dogs and I want to give 2 to a friend. There is currently no system in place to do this unfortunately which I feel is a missed opportunity. If you could develop a system that enables us to hand ownership over to another person whether it is with a lead or a nametag. It could work along the lines of using a nametag labled something random like Fido Free that puts the animal in adoption mode then the owner must take a lead to the animal and left click on another player to hand the lead to them and the ownership is transferred to the other player. Doing it this way makes it challenging because it requires a nametag but not overly so. When the ownership is transferred the name of the pet changes to just plain Fido till the other player renames him. Handing the lead makes it so that symbolically the player is giving the animal to another player. I would love this to be a thing in minecraft because it would be so awesome to be able to give a friend a doggo!!
