When an untamed wolf kills a sheep, the sheep drops wool and mutton, and the wolf ignores them. This implies that the wolf is not killing for food; thus it kills gratuitously. Not only is this contrary to real life, a parent should be able to explain that predation is natural and instinctive when their small child witnesses the killing, and the game shouldn't undercut the explanation by having the wolf not consume the mutton. So I suggest that a sheep killed by a wolf should not drop mutton, only wool. It would be even better if the wolf were seen to "eat" the meat in some fashion.
