    That DEFINETELY is a cool idea, but that might be too hard. Or not.

    It would be hard, considering that minecraft fire is not one, solid color. There would have to be an AI or something to find the colors that would be right for the fire. This would be so much easier to do if you just made a texture pack.

    It would be easiest to just have the 16 Minecraft colors, not hundreds. I do like the idea though.

    I was thinking it would work off of hexadecimals. You have an algorithm that converts a hexadecimal color to a texture for the block. This system is already being used for in game text

    Maybe like /setblock ~ ~ ~ fire {BlockEntityData:{Color: ______ }}
    Or /give @p fire_charge/flint_and_steel{FireColor: ____ }
    Almost like dyed leather armor

    A lot people are saying something that its hard to change the color of the fire but its can be done easily by changing the hue of the image which changes the color of the image keeping its texture. So it can be added to minecraft, the thing is the probably dont like that idea.
