Customized Carved Pumpkins

  •    This idea is something I've always wanted to see introduced into Minecraft. I suggest for a carving knife to be added, to carve custom designs on pumpkins. It would have 100 durability, and for every pixel carved on a pumpkin, it would take 1 durability from the knife, but you can add unbreaking to increase the durability of the knife. To carve a pumpkin, sneak while looking at one face of a pumpkin, and it would open a special interface for carving pumpkins, which would display the default pumpkin face, and maybe some new faces for you to choose if you don’t want a custom design. If you choose to carve your own design, click the pumpkin, then you can carve a design, pixel-by-pixel. After you're happy with the design, exit the carving interface, and a few pumpkin seeds will be in your inventory from carving. I'd also like to suggest a rare variant of pumpkin, known as a white pumpkin. It would be carvable just like the regular pumpkin, could be turned into pie, jack o’ lanterns, and could be used for a stronger version of the snow golem.

    I am not certain this would be the best idea as it would imply that you can also carve into other things, such as stone or ice pixel by pixel. I think having multiple preset templates would be better

    Sounds a little complicated. It would make more sense if there was something you held in your offhand while "shearing" the pumpkin as normal. Something like the banner pattern designs.
