Removing Striders

it's slow and needs to be clicked on repeatedly to give it a boost and if i Don't have a lead it will run away, and it may be so hard to get a saddle , and the only way to find strings in the nether to make a fishing rod is to travel until i find a bastion or fortress and needing to fight mobs if I'm not careful , and by the strider but most of it go to lava, too many steps for transportation. It's not about their appearance, that's not the case.

    I disagree. Striders are useful for transportation in the nether and relatively easy to get. If a player doesn't like them, they can just not use them.

    It would be better to just add the boats and keep the striders too. Why have one mode of transportation when you could have two.

    Somebody else literally posted about the same thing.

    We can't get rid of those cute magma-walkers.

    You can always put up a wall around it when you're exploring a bastion or fortress.

    maybe as well as being rideable they should drop stride shells to make lava boats that slowly change texture from red to blue

    They need to make warped fungus obtainable in portal chests. This would fix striders.
