Mushroom Temples

The mushroom island is a pretty boring place. But underneath is a DANGEROUS TEMPLE! In the middle of the island, there is a cobblestone statue, with red mushrooms on top. In front is a block of lapis surrounded by stone bricks. Breaking the lapis reveals a tunnel that leads to the huge temple! What will you find inside? What dangerous traps lie ahead? And most of all, who built it? Cages filled with brown mooshrooms? Mushroom gardens? Shear Statues? Iron ore but no furnaces? All will remain a mystery. Can you solve it?
