The current Iron Golem will attack the closest enemy. With the new AI system will Move toward the Highest Threat insight instead.

So how the golem which is the biggest threat? Here is the count system:
1. An enemy Mob gets +1 Threat for each time being seen by villagers or golems.
2. An enemy Mob gets +1 Threat if it is doing damage to villager or golems.
Here are some examples:
1: Sight
2: Hits:
As you can see, the zombie in the middle and the skeleton have the same +3. If there are more than 1 highest threat, the golem will move to the nearest one.
Remember, this system only moves golem to the highest threat, it does not tell them to attack the highest. Instead, the golem will hit any enemy near it while still moving to the target.
Don't forget that the golem is very fast, its attack has long reach and can knock back enemy, so golem often can prevent melee enemy hit it while still moving to the target. Of course, if an enemy is able to hit the golem, it will gain a +1 threat and if it becomes the highest threat, the golem will change its target.
The new system also excellent when golem has to fight with a group of mixed melee and long-range enemies. The current golem is often being flanked by the long-range enemy.
But with the new system golem will move straight to the skeletons if they hit it. As I have said, the golem is very fast and has knockback attacks, so they like a knight ram into enemy archery line.
