Since the addition of the Piglin Brute, a lot of people have pointed out the loot in the Bastions is not good enough for the difficulty of the structure. One school of thought says Netherite gear should be found there (as in the snapshots), and another school of thought saying Netherite should only be found through mining.
However, I propose an entirely different solution: Ancient Debris is found ONLY in Bastions!
It makes perfect sense - Piglins mined all the Netherite, so Netherite should be in their castles. Each chest would have 0-4 ancient debris in it. Maybe even within the structure itself there could be hidden blocks of Ancient Debris, like deep within the twisting corridors. This would also give the players an incentive to seek out and conquer a Bastion, as the Bastion also lacks any unique treasure other than a music disk. It also addresses the complaints that mining Ancient Debris is too monotonous and not fun.
In summary, this idea addresses all of the following common complaints:
-Bastion loot not being good enough
-Mining ancient debris not being fun
-No incentive to visit a Bastion
-Giving the Bastions some unique treasure and making them even more high-stakes
-A real reward for visiting the Bastion and risking your life to do so.
