Many users of the Minecraft feedback website have suggested implementing a block to the game which stores experience points. While I somewhat agree with these people, adding a block to store experience wouldn't be very interesting. My suggestion is to add a carnivorous plant that absorbs your experience points which sits on the floor of the jungle. It would be very large, but the only part visible is the pink tongue barely sticking out of the ground. (Hitboxes wouldn't be visible while it's retracted into the ground) When you step on its tongue, it would close it's jaw down on you. The only ways to escape once you are in its jaw would to either kill it or drop an item into its mouth to scare it into opening its mouth. As it is absorbing experience, a noise would play which would sound like muffled gulping. It would bite at mobs and items, but it would instantly spit items back out. It could enter a minecart, but only while it's mouth is closed. It can absorb a maximum of 20 levels, and it gets a slightly purple tint when it is completely full. They spawn on flat ground at any light level, most commonly near leaves to make them blend in more to their surroundings.
