Just finished the new DLC. Here are my 3 thoughts:
1. Great level design, hilarious new enemies and sound effects and fun gameplay flow. For the time it lasted.
2. I think it is a missed opportunity that this DLC does not include further progression of the Camp. In the base game it is part of the story. After finishing levels, chests would pop up, new vendors would appear, your home would get new 'souvenirs', you would discover clues in church, and Camp would expand into a mysterious area. Another idea could have been adding a separate Jungle Camp, with its own progression. Makes sense, actually. Ignoring further Camp progression seems lazy.
3. In addition to the previous point: no real new game mechanics have been introduced. (Except maybe for Ocelots making Creepers flee, but that's minor.) You can come up with plenty of creative ideas, common to the genre. For example: a new head armor slot and accompanying loot drops. Or adding environmental damage through falling tree trunks. Or introducing a new vendor, specialized in crafting. And so on... Something to keep it fresh.
I need to see this happen to stay invested in Dungeons after the next DLC.
PS. Merge with the Minecraft Launcher already!
