Bedrock Edition featured server tab removal

So yes, i think featured server tab has to be removed, here is why:

You know, in java there are no featured servers, so people have to look for a server to play. In bedrock however, most people do not search for servers to play on and just jump onto featured ones. This makes bedrock server owners have a really hard time getting a player base. If there were no featured servers, only servers that had good support, or quality games that people would like would be popular, those are servers like hive, cubecraft, those servers have a java community support behind them and were able to build a quality server.

But these servers are not the only good ones! There are many other awesome servers but nope, people will not look for them, or feel like they need to know them because featured servers just distract players from other server, making it hard for server owners.

Think about this: A java server can get about 100 people if its a quality server and is advertised properly. Yes it will get players and then many people will quit but it will still be able to grow with a small community. Bedrock servers will barely get some players for a while even if it advertises properly and is good, nobody will check those server lists because they can just go onto featured servers, right?

Take a look at some java edition server lists, many of new java servers have at least 15 people, while small bedrock servers barely has 10.

How it can be done: Literally just remove the featured tab.

    what about the people on x-box.

    they literally can only join featured servers. remove featured servers and you have removed the entire x-box community from servers

    And what will happen to all the console players? I mean it would be nice to add servers on console too but for some reason it’s not an option.

    I feel like featured servers should be removed, servers need to grow a community, but on bedrock, 6 servers get 95% of online players, because nobody will look for private servers if there are 6 ones you don't even need the IP and port for to join, you just hit a button, Seriously, remove it, Make the servers have to work, also KILL MINEVILLE, they are crappy Pay To Play server, nobody plays on it, and the games u could pottentially play solo all require a $20 pass to play, remove this as a featured server and add one that isnt P2W, Ownage is Semi P2W but all the stuff that can be paid for can be earned for free, I play for free, why should I not be able to obtain all the items in the game.

    cubecraft has to go from the featured server list but i think just removing the entire featured server list is better

    PLEASE JUST GIVE CONSOLE PLAYERS THE ABILITY TO JOIN SERVERS OF OUR OWN CHOOSING. I AM IN A CLUB WITH A MINECRAFT SERVER AND I CANT JOIN BECAUSE I CANT JOIN SERVERS I CHOOSE

    I think the main solution to this, if the featured servers need to stay in, is just to move the "Additional Servers" before Featured in the list. That way if you happen to add any server you would see it first.

    I play Java and this is my fist experience with PC bedrock as we're switching in preparation for 1.20. It's quite annoying having to scroll past the 8 random servers each time to get to mine. I'm assuming the featured servers are paid to be put on the front page there. Maybe separate custom servers from the integrated Bedrock servers as they still seem vital for console players. Or add custom servers to the "Worlds" tab. Console server navigation doesn't seem the best from reading other comments, a proper server browser would probably be a better overall solution given all above problems.
