I agree, it's really inconvenient to drag and drop the same files every time I create a world. It should work like resource packs, you drag and drop once, and then every time you create a world you can go to the data pack screen where you can select them. You should also be able to access the screen in-game, not only when creating a world.

I was about to suggest it, I would consider it being .minecraft/datapacks something like resourcepacks have then when creating a world it would show the list of all datapacks in there (maybe add little search bar?)

This is a must have. As an avid datapack user and a "new world every day" player, it's extremely inconvenient to need to download or move a datapack for each new world. It should be an extremely simple implementation and if we're being completely honest, it's surprising that the developers didn't include it by default as it would have been most logical.

This is very important and should be looked at as they are reworking ui

I strongly endorse this. Currently it's very annoying to have to copy and paste datapacks into each world separately. It makes it too easy to lose the datapacks if you absentmindedly drag and drop it, and then you have to download them again. There should be an intuitive way to access them within the game. Vanilla already provides two test datapacks which are available any time you start a world, so I don't see why downloaded datapacks can't be stored in a way that they can be accessed from that same list.

I'm surprised this wasn't added when adding datapacks at world creation was added. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
