Giant Urchins

Giant Urchins are mobs native to coral reefs and Ocean Monuments, and may be found resting on top of or clinging to the side of coral, sand, and prismarine blocks.

They possess an venomous cloud attack, inflicting the player with poison. Like Guardians, they have an innate Thorns ability.

Urchins can scuttle around the ocean floor, but can not swim.

Different-colored Urchins could have varying behaviors:

Red: Always hostile. May spray any player in range. Scuttles towards players.

Blue: Must be touched to provoke, either by bumping into one or attacking it. Scuttles toward players once angered.

Purple: Releases cloud when approached by a player and flees.
