Add the option to give named items to players and entities

The one change that would really set free creativity with commands in my opinion would be adding the JSON Component that allows the addition of giving a player (or entity) a named item. Java already has this and it would be nice to have parity on this. Here’s my example: /give @s netherite_sword 1 0 {display:{Name:”(CustomName)”} I use commands heavily and this is the one thing that has held me back from being completely creative. I and I’m sure many others would appreciate this addition.

    Yes this wouls be great to have however if your desperate need of something similar. You could have the item in a dropper in a ticking area then tp that item to the player.

    Yeah I agree. In addition to /give or /replaceitem, add the same feature to entities. This would make a lot of changes in mapmaking, addons and more. Add this feature so we don't need to use a third party library and such.
