When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Pressure plates that work only on players

Diamond pressure plates can only be activated by players. This can be useful in keeping piglins or villagers away from your base, as they can open doors an it's quite annoying. And it could be used to make traps for your friends without some random mob activating it.

Also, netherite or obsidian pressure plates that only work if the player that placed them presses them. It can work for making secret storage rooms, or a jail.

    I completely agree! No more do you have to build a weird button contraption to enter your house for fear of mobs gaining access just as easily as you!

    I have always wanted a pressure plate that can only be activated by a player. I had an idea about copper pressure plates that can't be activated by players. I don't really think there should be netherite pressure plates because they would be too expensive to make.

    Agreed! Copper pressure plates would be a nifty idea and feel much less out of place than diamond ones!

    To me it feels like netherite pressure plates would fit best with the "only player activation", they look a lot more like other common pressure plate types.
    The ability to key a pressure plate to a player is likely never going to happen since you can use other fancy redstone stuff for that, and it could remove creativity.

    Maybe not diamond or netherite as these are a tad too valuable to be making pressure played out of. Maybe consider copper or Polished Blackstone?

    I think copper would be best as copper is common enough to be able to build lots of them and would give copper more practical use.

    I think that the iron pressure plate kinda works for that, if you need a signal strength of 1 then you will need 141 entities standing on it
