The Purvadors (End Vexes)

Trekking through the desolate floating islands of the End, the unwary adventurer will encounter the purvadors. Primordial spirits of the void, the purvadors bear a striking resemblance to the portals, appearing as small humanoid voids flecked with purple. They rise from below the floating archipelagos of the End, flying through the player, dealing void damage on contact. Banishing these denizens yields void essence, which can be used to selectively remove enchantments from items, including curses.
