Pork in Minecraft Dungeon

Recently I started playing Minecraft Dungeons on my console. It is a very fun game but I noticed the health regeneration items that mobs can drop is pork. In cultures religions and diets pig based meat is something that should be avoided. Playing the game without eating pork to regenerate health is also very difficult because sometimes that’s the quickest way o regenerate health. Having other options for health regeneration such as fish or chicken as meat based options would be more inclusive to peoples lifestyles. As diverse as Minecraft Dungeons is with playable characters representing many different players including People of Color it is important to also recognize that not everybody eats pig based food because it goes against part of who they are.

Good game. Me and my family play it, but we skip picking up the pork. In a positive light it makes a good teaching tool for the children not to eat and avoid pork in real life situations.

In the absence of any other types of universally neutral meat, it also teaches the reality of life and how video games have become a tool to reach the unreachable young for indoctrination and peer pressure through discrimination, antisemitism; and how they should learn to navigate it.
