Parrots should follow behind trusted players flying with elytras. Currently, like other pet mobs, parrots will only teleport to trusted players when they're on a safe solid block. However, Parrots have the ability to fly, so they should be able to follow the player wherever they are. If a player has multiple pet parrots, they could make a "V" formation behind the player.
