Lost horses are a horse that once was a villager's horse. If you open the inventory for it, it will say something like Ron's horse or Ren's horse. If you ride him to the owner, the owner will give you 1-2 emeralds based on how long it takes to get him there. They will only spawn within 100-125 blocks away from a town. With this update, villagers will now have names.
