Stopping clouds

I like to build high up structures like floating islands or a skyscraper. However, The clouds seem to be in the way all the time. I think I came up with a pretty good solution, When a cloud touches a block, the cloud could dissapear in that spot and after some time the cloud re-appears slowly. So that when you build a skyscraper or something else that goes into the clouds, they don't get in the way.

Btw I am aware that I can just disable clouds but I think clouds look very cool when viewed from underneath with a building there.
