Enchantable Artifacts

I think it would would add a lot of build variety if artifacts could be enchanted. Rather than having three enchantment slots like other items, artifacts would only have one slot and the enchantments could modify the artifact slightly. This would effectively let you choose from a handful of variations of the artifacts.

For instance, maybe the ghost cloak could have an option to explode damaging or stunning nearby enemies after it wears off, or perhaps the boots of swiftness could get the normal rolling type enchantments so you leave a trail of fire behind you while the boots are active.

Some enchants may have to be unique to the artifact, but I imagine many of the already existing enchants could carry over to some artifacts as well.

    This is a great idea. stuff like the soul items can have the soul enchants move over to them as well as for summon item have a summon duration or summon damage increse

    Yes.
    This also enables the option for unique artifacts, that have one innate property in addition to an enchantment.

    The standard enchantments could be:
    +Duration
    +Effect
    +Chance to stun
    +Range
    -Cooldown
    +Summon special pet on use
    +Spawn emeralds on use
    +Heal on use
    +Reduce cooldown for other artifacts on use
    +Artifact-specific secondary effect
