Gloomy sky when raining

The sky already gets darker when it rains, but the world around you doesn't. I propose that when it rains/snows the sun disappears from the sky, the sky turns grey, and the environmental light levels drop slightly to the point where flora can't grow and hostile mobs may or may not spawn. I also propose that when it rains/snows clouds become denser. Feel free to leave feedback!
