Flying Foxes are mobs that can be owned by the player as a pet. They don't spawn naturally in the world. In order to get one, a bat and a fox must be bred using sweet berries. Unlike newborn baby foxes, the Flying Fox must be fed with sweet berries in order to tame it. They act as normal tamed wolves but can attack flying mobs as well such as the phantom. Flying Foxes may come with two texture variants dependent on their fox parent.
When a Flying Fox is untamed, it will fly around and will not follow any bats or foxes including its parents. Also, if a player harms an untamed Flying Fox, it will cause them to attack the player but other Flying Foxes in the vicinity won't mind you at all. The player can make their Flying Fox hang from a nearby ceiling just by right clicking them.
By right clicking a Flying Fox, it will immediately look for a ceiling block to hang from and sleep, this helps them regenerate their health as it is the only normal way to do it. Sweet berries make them breed, not heal. Breeding two Flying Foxes will create another one that is tamed. Flying Foxes will attack any mobs that harms the player or mobs that the player harms EXCEPT the creepers. They don't pick up items unlike a normal fox but they bring apples to the player as a gift (since those are what you get from trees) whenever the player skips the night with a bed. Lastly, they drop nothing.
So that's my mob idea :D
Hope you like it!
