When my daughter bought Minecraft we had no idea that there were 2 different editions, let alone that by buying the Windows edition we were limiting our ability to play in certain realms. As far as we were concerned we were buying a Minecraft licence and we didn't expect to find that our licence didn't allow us to play some Minecraft "realms", if that's the right word.
OK, really I can afford to buy another licence to allow my daughter to access whatever she wants to access, but it sucks that buying a "Minecraft license" gets some access to Minecraft but I have to buy a second licence to access the Minecraft bits I want.
