A hint in the village for where the next village to be found

It would be cool it there would be a hint in some villages in which direction the next village could be found.

Like: Where the main street ends into this direction you have to go for the next village....

    Maybe it could be possible to found a villages map in a cartography hut

    Seems very limited, you could end up travelling in circles around the same villages
