Nice idea! The only thing that I think is a bit powerful is the 1 minute nausea and poison effect. Maybe 30 seconds for both effects? More than that is too much I think.

The fact that there is already a skin for swamp villagers ingame hints that they may add regular swamp villages at some point so I don't think there is any need for unique swamp villager-like mob

Hello, it has been almost a year since I posted this, so... I’m here to update it!

So, now, if you were to hit a Riblin, they all would retaliate. They would live in a swampy village with big mushrooms around (maybe a new type, I dunno, they could maybe glow???) and it would be similar to a village. Normal Riblins could trade for swampy items, and every few days, some of their trades can change. There would be no trading “tiers” for them. There could be Riblin Warriors in the community, fighting off Witches and such. Dirty Emeralds would be made with an Emerald in the center, and dirt ALL around, for one Dirty Emerald. The Riblin Tongue would only give the effects for 30 seconds, instead of one whole minute! Also, there could be a few more things, such as a Frog, it can swim, and it can go on land, but it starts dying if it is too far from water for too long. A new block could be the Mud Block. You would craft 8 of them with a Water Bucket in the middle, and Dirt Blocks all around. You would get the Bucket back. You could then craft a Mud Block into 6 Mud Puddles. Those would be kinda like Top Snow. So they could be layered. And, to craft them back into a Mud Block, you could put 6 Mud Puddles back into the Crafting Table to make 1 Mud Block. And, better yet, you could use a bucket on a Mud Block to consume the mud, and get a Bucket of Mud. You could then use this on a Frog to scoop it up! You could then later place it and the mud back down, of course! -The Creeper 556
