Mob spawners are a great tool for spawning mobs randomly, but It isn't the best it could be.
Basically, my idea is to add an option to right-click a mob spawner to access a gui panel with configurable settings (only accessible through Creative mode).
There would be different options in the menu for the spawner with true/false sliders or boxes to type in
Available Configurations in Menu:
Time between new mob spawn [1-255]
Mobs that spawn [Box to type in] (Maximum of 3-5 mobs per spawner)
Persistent [True/False Slider]
Silent [True/False Slider]
Invulnerable [True/False Slider]
Limit of mobs [1-20] (Basically, up to how many mobs it can spawn)
Age [Adult/Baby Slider] (Depends what entity it is)
Sound Effect at spawn [Box to type in] (Basically, what sound effect is made when a new mob spawns. Can be kept at nothing)
Friendly [True/False Slider] (Possibly able to work with friendly mobs to make them hostile (ex. Villager could take out an axe, Cow headbutts & so on)
Not sure if this is already a feature using command blocks, but even if it is, it would make it a lot simpler
:)
