The Black Trader is a two-block tall, unique and hostile mob that either spawns naturally (very rare, 1.5 percent chance of spawning like this) or occurs when a regular Wandering Trader is struck by lightning. They have angry eyebrows, a black cloak with gold trim, and are usually accompanied by a Ravager.
Black Traders will attack as soon as they are within ten blocks of you, and when they attack, they get their Ravager to come for you. When the Ravager dies, if you succeed in killing it, the Trader becomes enraged and shoots an item called a Black Missile, a jet black firework rocket-like weapon that deals two hearts of damage, at you repeatedly. The cool down time for the Trader is three seconds, and that is when to hit it and stand back. It takes 15 hits with a fist to kill the mob, and 5 with a diamond sword. Once killed, the black form is shed revealing the original Trader. If the Black Trader is killed before the Ravager, then the Ravager becomes a llama. The Wandering Trader will then continue to wander around offering trades in your world. When the Black Trader form is shed, it will drop 10 Black Missiles, which can then be utilised with a bow to deal damage to opponents.
