A new version of dungeons or explorable structures could be implemented, in which you progress through a series of levels until you reach a boss at the end. These structures could be designed in any fashion, yet here's the catch: The boss would emit an effect that prohibited the player from mining or placing blocks, similar to mining fatigue in Ocean Monuments. The effect would go away once this boss was killed. However, this feature could be taken full advantage of by having parkour or mazes that the player would have to go through, and they could not simply mine through or bridge across. This would make adventuring much more challenging and rewarding.
