Global resources on Minecraft Bedrock (primarily Xbox One)

Minecraft Bedrock edition has a section in settings called “global resources”. In it, you can apply texture packs globally to your world, your friends world, or servers. However, it is incompatible with texture packs downloaded externally (on Xbox one at least). It would be much better if all the texture packs that you have bought and downloaded would be compatible with the global resources option without having to modify the texture update beta pack with the manifest.json file and what not. This option would allow for players to customize all worlds they visit to their liking, making it a more personal feeling and experience. Basically, more creativity and preferences to choose from. In order to add this feature, simply allow for texture packs that the user has downloaded to appear in global resources. This would be simple, easy, and just overall better than what we have now on Xbox.

    I agree, just imagine if someone just bought an Xbox to play Minecraft with friends and find out they can’t even add custom resource packs easily and crying.
