This mob is inspired by the Mongolian Death Worm that is alleged to live in the Gobi desert of South Mongolia. Since you rarely see mobs spawn in the desert (nocturnal hostile mobs are an exception), I figured that it would be a great idea to add a very dangerous mob in this biome that is devoid of life. According to legend, the Mongolian Death Worm possesses a potent venom that can corrode metal, so if you add a worm-like creature in the game with the same caliber as the Mongolian Death worm, then it has the ability to wear down or completely destroy your armor, but diamond armor doesn't count because it isn't metal and netherite isn't either, so your endgame armor is safe. The Mongolian Death Worm also has the ability to lay parasitic eggs on its hosts. If a player is using a mount to traverse the desert, this creature would then come out from the sands and infect the player's mount with its eggs. The eggs would then hatch, later on, killing the infected mount (this is probably too violent for younger players, so Mojang can completely remove its parasitic abilities). The sole purpose of this mob is to add a small challenge to the desert biome because I personally think it needs more life to it.
