Floating trees

I’m pretty sure everyone despises when people leave floating trees (not the leaves, as in the trunk stays at the top and they don’t bother to mine it). So I thought that, similar to phantoms, after 3 days or so, floating trees turn into some sort of mob that detects players at a crazy range (unlike creepers). They should be pretty slow so you can outrun them but very powerful (like endermen). I know the idea of tree mobs has been proposed before but this one isn’t about trees being boring, it’s about floating trees being annoying :)

    I agree, but going with a hostile mob would be too crazy of an idea, maybe if it just despawned or fell over, because it isn't their fault if they can't reach it.
