The Cassowary

Cassowarries are huge, herbivorous, flightless birds. They run, jump, and swim well, and are passive until provoked.

In Minecraft: As tall as, or taller than a player. Runs as fast as sprinting but not faster than sprint jumping. Can Jump 1.5 - 2 blocks high, and do leap attacks (jumping 2 or 3 blocks quickly). Deals roughly as much damage as an enderman. Has 20 - 30 HP, and spawns in jungles and forests/flower forests. May be able to be tamed (if not aggressive) by using fruit like apples. Spawn in groups of no more than 2, and could have a nest, that will make them attack you if you get too close.

    Cassowaries are native to the humid rainforest of New Guinea, nearby smaller islands, East Nusa Tenggara, The Maluku Islands and to northeastern Australia. They will, however, venture out into palm scrub, grasslands, savanna, and swamps.

    I love this idea, my son has Autis and is fascinated with everything Cassowaries so seeing them in Minecraft would be amazing.
