Passive Mob for the Basalt Deltas
Just like every other person on Earth I kind of love the new Basalt Deltas. I also think it's very interesting they are swarmed with magma cubes, which perfectly fit the pillar-like structures the basalt forms, almost like their constant jumping formed them over time. To accompany this fierce predator, though, I think the nether needs a new passive mob. I think something directly related to both the new biome and the slime variant would be different. Not sure exactly the look but I'm thinking porcupine-esque. They would very rarely spawn in small groups and run at high speeds into small holes in the deltas. Similar to wolves and sheep/skeletons, magma slimes would be attracted to the scent of the things except maybe twice the radius and three times the fire cubes. But not only would they serve as entertainment to the player to see occasionally spawn and mad dash from a swarm of magma cubes, but also I was thinking add to the new survivability factor of the nether. Recently Blackstone and hence the ability to craft stone tools were added among other things, so why no diamond or variant of the crystal? What if this new very rare and sought after creature in this specific biome dropped a diamond shard as a rare drop and, just as nuggets, could be used to make the next tier of tools? If needed for balance, maybe a specific tool would need to be used and maybe these little guys could have fun but possibly devastating self-defense move that could really leave you vulnerable.
