/gamerule showYellowMessages

This gamerule will decide if yellow messages, such as the join, leave, and skin messages, will show up in chat. Some map makers, such as myself, like to set up custom join messages. Others might want to clear the chat, and some might want to sneakily join without getting too much attention.

    You can already achieve that by changing some stuff in the .lang files in resource packs.

    But I agree, that it should be more accessible and even doable without resource packs.

    But I would split it into multiple game rules so you can customize it even more

    Cool idea, but what's with that name showYellowMessages? I get that all the messages you're referring to happen to be yellow, but what does their color have to do with the essence of this gamerule? Perhaps showJoinMessages, showLeaveMessages, etc. or something like those would fit this better. I just find the current name a little amusing.
