Active Effects UI - potions, curses, blessings ect

As someone who's been playing the Java edition of the game for 10 years, I've watched nearly every feature of the game develop from the ground up.  I've been playing Minecraft for windows 10 for a month or so and for the LIFE of me I can't figure out how to view how much time is left on my active effects or what their title is. In java edition, you can mouse over the effects when you are in your inventory, see how much time is left on them and at the very least their title.  In win 10, they disappear when you open your inventory or pause, which are the only two available methods I know of to free the mouse.  If there is another way to free the mouse, it is nowhere near obvious enough, so I'm stuck not knowing how much more time im fireproof for in the nether or amphibious while exploring underwater.
