Alternative Striders

The new Strider mob just feels out of place, like it doesn't belong in the game. The concept is great and I want to submit an alternative idea for the Striders. My alternative mob, would be a nether walrus. The walrus would lie on the shores of lava lakes, moving in and out the lava lakes every so often. Taming one would be trickier because they will wobble you off, launching you in the air for 2 to 3 blocks off the walrus. If you manage to tame one, simply put a saddle on its back and make it move into a lava lake. The walrus would sink a little bit in the lava, but float high enough for the player to safely sit on it, keeping them above all that lava. I've had this idea for years now but never thought of submitting it. I'm hoping this idea will inspire the great creators of Minecraft.

    Striders are perfectly fine as is! It's alien and unique, rather than just being an imitation of a real-world creature or other mob.
