As a bird person myself I believe that loons would make an excellent edition for minecraft. Of course your probably thinking "what good would such a noisy waterfowl bird do in minecraft?" Well I believe if Mojang could add in a command where if the player feeds them a fish, then any loot they drop into a lake or any water area. The loons will swim under the water and return it to them. Another good command idea is that any loot dropped by either a killed mob, a dead player, etc. That is in the water they will pick it up and take it back to their nest on shore. Their best should be built out of grass and weeds (tall grass). As for biomes three different loons will appear in different biomes in cold biomes such as snowy taiga, snowy tundra, and frozen river biomes the yellow billed loons would spawn. In biomes such as the taiga, the plains, and swamp biomes the common loon would appear. Finally in the ocean biomes the red throated loon would spawn. Another pleasing factor about these birds is how if they wail (which is their call) then that is a warning of a dangerous mob nearby. They should be about a block long and a block tall. Mojang if this goes through you can do whatever you want as long as the common loon stays.
